The judge spent several silent minutes reviewing the valid legal will.
He looked over his glasses directly at Julian and his legal team.
Judge: The court finds this legal will to be completely authentic.
Judge: All assets and the mansion belong entirely to Lily Sterling.
Julian slammed his fists onto the wooden desk in complete fury.
Julian: You cannot take away my house and my money like this!
Judge: Furthermore I am granting full custody of Lily to Evelyn immediately.
Two court officers stepped forward and stood directly behind Julian's chair.
Judge: Mr. Sterling you are under arrest for fraud and assault.
Julian was slapped in heavy metal handcuffs right in open court.
Victoria began to weep loudly as her son was led away.
He turned back to look at Evelyn with anger in his eyes.
Julian: You will pay for ruining my life like this Evelyn!
Evelyn: You ruined your own life the moment you hurt our child.
The officers pushed Julian through the heavy doors and out of sight.
Victoria tried to approach Evelyn with tears running down her cheeks.
Victoria: Please Evelyn let me see my grandchild sometimes at least.
Evelyn: You lied for him and called me a disgrace Victoria.
Evelyn: You will only see her when a judge forces me to.
Evelyn turned away from her former mother-in-law without any hesitation.
She walked out of the courtroom feeling lighter than ever before.
Marcus met her outside in the bright sunshine near the steps.
Marcus: You were very brave today Evelyn and you won everything.
Evelyn: I just wanted my daughter to be safe from him.
A police officer walked up holding little Lily's small gentle hand.
Lily let go and ran straight into Evelyn's open waiting arms.
Lily: Mommy I missed you so much and I am sorry!
Evelyn: Oh baby you never have to apologize for anything ever again.
Evelyn lifted her beautiful daughter up and held her very tightly.
They were finally free from the lies and the painful abuse.
A bright new future was waiting for them both starting today.
