The security guards stepped forward and grabbed Evelyn firmly by her arms, pulling her back from the center of the foyer. She kicked her golden high heels and screamed loudly, but nobody in the room moved an inch to defend her. Her expensive golden dress was rumpled, and her high-society status vanished in a single moment of public shame.
Evelyn: Let go of me! You can't do this to a Vanguard!
Julian: You are no longer part of this family or estate.
Julian took out his phone and made a short call to his chief divorce lawyer and financial manager right in front of the quiet audience. He instructed them to cut off every single monthly allowance, cancel all her credit cards, and foreclose on her luxury penthouse downtown. Within thirty seconds, Evelyn went from a powerful socialite to having zero access to money.
Evelyn sobbed uncontrollably as the security officers led her through the double doors and out into the cold night air. The heavy oak doors shut behind her with a deep thud, closing her out of the mansion forever. The remaining party guests stood in complete silence, waiting to see what the young CEO would do next.
Julian: Every person who laughed tonight must leave my home right now.
Guest: Mr. Vanguard, please, we did not know the truth!
Julian: Leave before my legal team handles your business contracts too.
The guests quickly turned around and hurried toward the exit without saying another word. Within five minutes, the massive foyer was completely empty except for Julian, Clara, and two loyal house staff members who had always been kind to her. The loud noise of the party was replaced by a soft, peaceful quietness that filled the high-ceilinged room.
Julian turned back to Clara and gently lifted her off her feet into his arms. He carried her up the grand double staircase toward their private master bedroom upstairs, far away from the mess below. He laid her down gently on the soft king-sized bed and wrapped a warm blanket around her shoulders.
Julian: I am so sorry I was late to protect you, Clara.
Clara: You came right when I needed you most, Julian.
