Just as the silver blades closed around Clara's hair, a loud crash echoed through the grand entrance hall. The heavy oak double doors were slammed open with extreme force, hitting the marble walls like thunder. The orchestral music stopped instantly, and every single guest turned their heads toward the door in total shock.
Julian Vanguard stood in the doorway, breathing heavily with a look of pure rage on his face. His sharp black tuxedo was neat, but his eyes were burning like fire as he looked across the room. He took long, fast steps across the polished floor, his heavy footsteps echoing off the high ceiling.
Julian: Who touched my wife?!
His deep voice shook the glass chandeliers above, sending a chill down the spine of every person in the room. Evelyn froze in place, her hand dropping the silver scissors onto the floor with a loud metallic clatter. Her mouth opened in shock, her eyes wide as she watched Julian march directly toward her.
Julian ignored the crowd of billionaires and stepped straight toward the kneeling woman on the floor. His expression softened instantly as he dropped down onto both knees beside Clara. His hands shook with emotion as he gently picked her up from the cold floor and drew her close to his chest.
Julian: Clara... oh my god, Clara, look at me.
Clara: Julian... you came... there was no one else to help me...
Julian pulled off his custom black tuxedo jacket and wrapped it around Clara's cold shoulders carefully. He used his thumb to wipe the warm blood from the cut on her forehead, his heart breaking at the sight of her tears. He held her close against his chest, letting everyone see him kiss her forehead with deep love and protection.
Evelyn took two steps back, her face turning completely pale as her hands began to shake uncontrollably. The guests behind her started whispering loudly among themselves, realizing that something massive was happening right before their eyes.
Evelyn: Your... your wife? Julian, what kind of joke is this?!
Julian: This is no joke, Evelyn. She is my lawful wife.
Julian stood up slowly, keeping one strong arm wrapped tightly around Clara's waist to support her weight. He turned his head and glared at Evelyn with a cold look that made her step back even further. The air in the grand foyer felt freezing cold as the truth settled over the crowd.
Evelyn: She is just a low-class maid! You cannot be married to her!
Julian: She is the owner of this entire house and my full legal partner.
