Victoria took three heavy steps across the gleaming marble floor, her expensive perfume choking the air in the grand foyer. She reached out with sharp, manicured nails and yanked the picture frame violently out of Elena's trembling hands. The glass shattered across the white floor with a loud snap, the wooden backing popping open to reveal the faded paper photo inside. Elena gasped softly, dropping to her knees on the hard floor to save the paper picture before Victoria could step on it. Victoria sneered down at her, intentionally swinging her heavy designer purse straight into Elena's shoulder with full force. The sudden impact knocked Elena sideways, sending her sliding across the smooth marble surface near the grand entry door. Elena let out a sharp cry of pain as her knee scraped against the polished stone, her silk robe tearing slightly at the hem.
Victoria: Look at you, pathetic little worm! You think you can stop me from taking what is rightfully mine?
Elena: My father loved this family! You came here only for his bank accounts and his real estate property!
Victoria: Of course I did! Did you actually believe an attractive woman like me loved an old, tired man like your father?
Elena: You evil monster... he trusted you when he was at his weakest moment!
Victoria: Trust is for fools, Elena! Now this house is mine! Every room, every dollar, every piece of art belongs to me!
Victoria leaned over the helpless blonde girl, her face inches away, her dark eyes filled with absolute malice and arrogance. She truly believed she had won the dirty game she started the moment she stepped into the family business. She grabbed Elena by her wrist, pulling her up slightly only to shove her backward onto the floor again. Victoria wanted to push Elena to her absolute limit, hoping the girl would fight back so she could call the Dallas police department and file a false assault charge. If Elena ended up with a criminal record, her chances of contesting the forged legal trust fund in probate court would vanish forever. Elena stayed on the floor, holding her scraped elbow while tears of frustration and physical pain welled up in her light blue eyes.
Victoria: Go ahead, scream all you want! Nobody can hear you inside this soundproof foyer!
Elena: Mark is coming... he called me from the interstate thirty minutes ago!
Victoria: Let your brother come! What can a soldier do against a signed, notarized legal court document?
Elena: He will find the original will in the bank safety deposit box! You forgot about the second copy!
Victoria: That safety box was cleared out last Friday, you stupid little girl! I hired a private locksmith while you were away!
Elena's heart sank into her stomach at the terrifying revelation that Victoria had already bypassed the bank security measures. The level of preparation and cold calculation behind Victoria's plan was truly terrifying to comprehend. Victoria laughed out loud, a harsh, shrill sound that echoed off the towering ceilings and framed American artwork hanging in the hallway. She kicked the loose pieces of broken frame glass directly toward Elena, enjoying every single second of her cruel power trip. But just as Victoria raised her arm to grab Elena's hair, the faint rumble of a roaring V8 engine echoed from the long concrete driveway outside the front security gate.
