The room fell into a heavy silence as David accessed his encrypted home security application.
He had quietly installed hidden high-definition cameras throughout the entire mansion months ago.
He tapped the screen to review the live recording from the upper balcony camera.
The video clearly displayed Sarah standing alone near the high marble railing five minutes prior.
The footage showed her intentionally unlatching the heavy safety lock of the wooden carrier.
She then carefully pushed the bassinet forward until it balanced precariously on the edge.
She waited patiently until she heard Clara walking directly below in the open foyer.
Then she gave the carrier a clear and deliberate shove off the marble ledge.
David's face darkened with overwhelming anger as the video played to its terrible conclusion.
He turned the phone screen directly toward Sarah's pale and trembling face.
David: Look at this screen right now and tell me your hands slipped!
Sarah stared at the clear video evidence as her confident composure crumbled away completely.
She backed away slowly until her spine pressed hard against the wooden banister.
Sarah: David... please... I was feeling so overwhelmed and lost lately!
David: You tried to destroy my innocent baby for money and property rights!
Sarah: We can fix this together if you just delete that awful footage!
David: You are a cold monster who will face the full weight of justice!
Clara held baby Lily tighter as she watched the dramatic confrontation unfold before her.
Sarah reached out desperately to grab David's arm in a final pleading effort.
David pulled his arm back forcefully and pointed his finger toward the heavy door.
David: Do not ever lay a finger on me or my family again!
Sarah: You cannot throw me out into the street without a legal divorce!
David: I signed a strict prenuptial agreement that voids everything upon criminal fraud!
Sarah realized in an instant that her calculated plan had failed completely.
Her greedy dreams of vast wealth and luxury estate ownership vanished into thin air.
She stumbled backward in shock while clutching her chest in sheer terror and panic.
The authority in David's commanding voice shook the foundation of her entire world.
