The polished marble floor of the grand mansion foyer reflected the towering crystal chandelier above, but the atmosphere inside the million-dollar estate was suffocating.
Clara: You really thought you could just walk back in here after everything you did?
Elena: Clara, please. I am six months pregnant. I just want to talk to Richard about the trust fund papers.
Clara: Richard belongs to me now! This house, the family business, the entire inheritance... it is all mine, and you are absolute trash!
Elena: Please, step away from me. I feel sick. Just let me sit down on the couch until Richard gets home from the airport.
Clara: You are not taking another step into this house!
Clara stepped forward, her maroon velvet gown rustling against the cold floor. Her eyes burned with pure malice as she raised both hands high.
Elena: Clara, stop! What are you doing?!
Clara: Getting rid of the trash once and for all!
With a violent thrust, Clara shoved Elena backward with all her strength.
Elena lost her footing, her heels slipping across the smooth marble. She hit the floor hard, an agonizing scream echoing through the grand hallway as she curled into a ball around her swollen belly.
Elena: Oh God! My baby... my baby!
Clara: Look at you, groveling like a dog. You think Richard will care about you now?
Elena: Have mercy... please... call an ambulance! My unborn child... please, stop!
Clara: Shut up! You get nothing!
Clara stood towering over Elena, her gold high heels inches from Elena’s trembling hands. Elena sobbed hysterically, holding her stomach in excruciating pain while Clara simply sneered down at her.
Suddenly, the heavy double doors at the main entrance slammed open with a deafening bang, catching the harsh afternoon light.
Richard: What on earth is going on in here?!
Elena looked up through her tears, her voice cracking as she reached out toward her husband.
Elena: Richard... help me...
Clara immediately whirled around, her face twisting into a dramatic mask of panic and terror.
Clara: Richard! Thank God you're home! She attacked me! She tried to throw herself down to frame me! She's crazy!
Richard stood frozen in his tuxedo, his briefcase slipping from his hand as he processed the horrific scene before him, unaware that a tiny red light on the ceiling had caught every single second.
