Victoria shook her head rapidly while trying to maintain her soft and innocent facial expression before Arthur.
Victoria: You cannot possibly believe the confused words of a frightened three year old child, Arthur!
Arthur: My daughter does not lie to me, Victoria!
Arthur pointed his stern finger directly at Victoria's face as his voice boomed throughout the silent foyer.
Arthur: You have been pretending to care for her while hiding a monster behind that fake smile!
Victoria: I stepped forward to save her when she tripped over her own shoes near the railing!
Arthur stepped toward his desk phone and immediately summoned his head of estate security into the grand room.
A tall security officer in a dark uniform entered the main hallway holding a small black digital tablet.
Arthur: Play the camera footage from the upper balcony hallway right now!
Victoria's face turned completely pale as she remembered the hidden security cameras installed throughout the high ceiling.
official safety rules required constant monitoring of all staircase areas inside the massive luxury private estate home.
The guard tapped the screen and held the clear video footage directly in front of Arthur's dark eyes.
The crisp video clearly showed Victoria reaching out and intentionally shoving Emma near the high wooden edge.
There was no doubt remaining that Victoria had committed a calculated and cruel act against an innocent child.
Arthur: Look at this footage and try to tell me again that it was an accident!
Victoria clutched her dress tightly while stammering words that made no coherent sense to anyone present.
Victoria: It was just a complete mistake, Arthur, please forgive me!
Arthur: Get out of my house this instant before I have you arrested for endangerment!
