The Hidden Evidence

The Stepmother Pushed My Little Girl Off The Grand Staircase

David stepped closer to the heavy mahogany desk and looked down at the scattered papers.

Victoria tried to cover the files on the floor with the hem of her purple dress.

David bent down and picked up a bright yellow envelope from the pile.

It was a copy of his life insurance policy and his personal trust fund documents.

David: Why were you reading my private life insurance agreement?

Victoria: I told you, I was just looking for my travel documents!

David: These files were kept locked inside a locked steel box.

Victoria: The key was sitting right on top of the desk!

David: No, that key was kept hidden inside my private coat drawer.

Victoria took a step back toward the large glass window behind the desk.

Her hands were trembling as she tried to pull her expensive ring off her finger.

David noticed a strange piece of paper sticking out from her leather designer purse.

He reached out and snatched the purse before she could move it away.

Victoria: Give that back to me right now, David!

David: What else are you hiding from me in this house?

He pulled out a thick white folder filled with official bank statements.

The documents showed massive debts registered under Victoria's real birth name.

She owed over two million dollars to several private offshore loan companies.

David scanned through the numbers with a cold and steady gaze.

David: You are completely broke, Victoria.

Victoria: That is none of your business!

David: It became my business the moment you tried to harm my child for money!

Victoria: I never touched your daughter, she is lying to you!

David: Lily has never lied to me a single time in her life.

Victoria: She hates me because I tried to enforce simple house rules!

David: Do not speak her name again in this room.

David reached into his suit jacket and pulled out his private cell phone.

He dialed the private number for the family head of security, Arthur.

Arthur had worked for the Vance family for over twenty dedicated years.

David: Arthur, I need you up in my office immediately.

Arthur: I am on my way right now, sir.

Victoria's eyes filled with sudden panic as she heard the call end.

She realized that her carefully planned scheme was falling apart around her.

Victoria: David, please, we can talk about this like reasonable adults!

David: The time for talking ended when my daughter fell off that balcony.

Victoria: I can pack my bags and leave right now if you just give me a settlement!

David: You will not get a single penny from my family estate.

The door to the office opened firm and tall Arthur stepped inside the room.

Arthur looked at the scattered papers and then at Victoria's frightened face.

Arthur: How can I help you, Mr. Vance?

David: Make sure Victoria does not leave this room while I make another call.

Arthur: Understood, sir.

Victoria glared at Arthur with pure hatred in her dark eyes.

Victoria: You cannot keep me held against my will in this house!

David: Watch me, Victoria.

David walked out of the room and headed straight down to the security monitor room.

He knew there was one thing Victoria had completely forgotten about when she planned her attack.

The entire grand hallway was monitored by hidden high definition security cameras.
