Arrest In The Mansion

The Stepmother Pushed His Daughter Off The Foyer Balcony

The heavy wooden double doors swung wide open, and four uniformed police officers rushed into the bright white foyer, their boots clicking sharply against the light marble floor.

Officer Davis: "Police! Nobody move! Stay where you are!"

Arthur: "Officers! Over here! I am Arthur Vance, owner of this property!"

Officer Davis: "Mr. Vance, we received a distress call regarding an attempted homicide involving a minor!"

Arthur: "My wife, Victoria Vance, just pushed my three-year-old daughter off that second-floor balcony!"

Victoria: "Officer, he's lying! Look at my face! He attacked me! He slapped me three times in front of the servant!"

Officer Davis: "Ma'am, calm down and step away from the gentleman!"

Sarah: "Officer, please! I am the nanny! I witnessed the entire attack! I had to dive across the marble floor to catch little Lily right before impact!"

Victoria: "They are framing me! They want to kick me out of the family and steal my marital settlement!"

Arthur: "Officer, I have live 4K security video of the entire event saved on my phone's cloud server. You can view the recording right now."

Arthur handed his smartphone directly to Officer Davis. The officer tapped the screen, his expression growing stern and dark as he watched the clear video playback.

Officer Davis: "Ma'am, this video clearly shows you grabbing the child and throwing her over the balcony railing."

Victoria: "That video is altered! He used artificial intelligence software to forge my face! You can't use digital video as evidence!"

Officer Davis: "This is live-synced, timestamped cloud footage from an encrypted security feed. Turn around and put your hands behind your back."

Victoria: "Don't touch me! Do you know who my family is?! My father is a high-ranking corporate lawyer!"

Officer Davis: "I don't care who your father is. You are under arrest for attempted first-degree murder, felony child endangerment, and insurance fraud."

The second officer stepped forward, grabbing Victoria's arms and pulling them behind her back. The cold metallic click of handcuffs echoed under the high foyer ceiling.

Victoria: "Ow! You're hurting my wrists! Arthur, tell them to stop! Please!"

Arthur: "I told you to get out of my house. Now you're leaving in chains."

Victoria: "You monster! I hope you burn in hell! I hope your company stock crashes to zero!"

Sarah: "The only monster in this house is you, Victoria."

The police officers turned Victoria around and escorted her out through the grand double doors. Her ruby red satin gown dragged messily across the light marble floor as she screamed hysterically all the way down the driveway.

When the front doors finally closed, a calm silence settled over the grand foyer. Arthur dropped to his knees on the stone floor, holding Lily tightly while looking up at Sarah.

Arthur: "Sarah... I don't even know how to thank you. You risked your own safety to catch my daughter."

Sarah: "I only did my duty, Mr. Vance. I love Lily like she's my own little sister."

Arthur: "You did far more than your duty, Sarah. You saved her life. From this moment on, you will never have to worry about your future ever again."

Lily: "Daddy... is bad lady gone?"

Arthur: "Yes, my precious girl. She's gone, and she's never coming back."
