Carter: What did you find in her coat, Elena?
Victoria: She's making up more lies, Carter! She searched my private coat without permission! That's illegal!
Carter: Harrison, stand in front of that door. Nobody leaves this hallway.
Harrison: Yes, Mr. Sterling.
The large security guard stepped in front of the main exit doors, crossing his arms over his chest. Victoria backed against the marble pillar, her breathing rapid and shallow as she clutched her handbag.
Elena: I found a folded envelope stamped with a red state notary seal, Mr. Sterling. It was tucked inside her inner coat pocket.
Carter: What envelope, Victoria?
Victoria: It's personal family business! It has nothing to do with you or this estate!
Elena: It had your name written on the front, Mr. Sterling. And the words 'Sterling Family Trust'.
Carter walked straight over to Victoria. His face was cold and emotionless as he extended his hand toward her designer purse.
Carter: Hand over the purse, Victoria.
Victoria: Get your hands off me! You have no right to search my personal belongings!
Carter: You framed my employee for theft inside my house. Hand over the purse before Harrison takes it from you.
Victoria's body shook with rage and terror, but seeing Harrison step forward, she aggressively snatched the folded cream envelope from her bag and slammed it onto the marble floor.
Victoria: Take it! Take your stupid paper! It's worthless anyway!
Carter picked up the heavy cream envelope from the floor. He broke the red wax seal and pulled out a four-page legal document. His eyes scanned down the first page, his brow furrowing as he read the title.
Carter: This is a petition for emergency legal guardianship over my sister's trust fund...
Victoria: Your sister is mentally unfit to manage her own finances, Carter! Everyone in high society knows that!
Carter: My sister has a mild learning disability, Victoria! She lives a peaceful life in our family's Aspen home!
Victoria: She controls forty percent of the Sterling estate shares! That money should be managed by someone with a real business background!
Carter: Someone like you?
Victoria: Yes! Someone who knows how to run an empire!
Carter turned to page three of the document. His eyes locked onto the bottom line, where two signatures were written in dark blue ink.
Carter: Look at this signature, Elena. Look at the date.
Elena stepped closer, looking down at the paper under the bright hall light.
Elena: That signature says 'Arthur Sterling'... your late father's name.
Carter: My father passed away fourteen months ago, Victoria. But this notary seal is dated three weeks ago.
The entire hallway fell completely dead silent. The butler and housekeepers gasped in shock, looking at Victoria as if she were a monster.
Carter: You forged my dead father's signature to steal my sister's inheritance.
