The Fall And Save

The Step-Mother Made A Mistake That Ended Her Marriage

Arthur looked up in complete horror as he saw his little daughter falling through the air.

His heart stopped as time seemed to slow down inside the brightly lit high foyer.

The young girl flailed her arms while crying out in terror during the fast downward drop.

Arthur threw his heavy leather briefcase aside and sprinted across the polished marble floor immediately.

He dropped to his knees and slid forward with his arms stretched out toward the center.

Lily plummeted straight down toward the hard surface where her father was sliding into place.

Arthur caught his daughter tightly in his arms just inches above the solid marble floor.

The impact knocked the breath out of Arthur as he rolled onto his back safely.

He held Lily firmly against his chest while breathing heavily from the intense physical exertion.

The entire house went quiet except for the sound of Arthur's rapid and deep gasps.

Lily buried her face into her father's grey suit jacket and sobbed with absolute hysterical terror.

"Daddy! I was so scared!" Lily cried out while holding onto his shirt as tight as possible.

"I have got you, sweetheart, you are safe now," Arthur whispered while holding her small head close.

He checked her arms and legs carefully to ensure she had sustained no physical injuries.

Lily was shaking uncontrollably, but she was entirely unhurt thanks to her father's quick save.

Arthur set her down gently near a soft armchair situated safely away from the stairs.

He stood up slowly as a wave of intense, furious rage rushed through his entire body.

Arthur looked up toward the balcony landing where Gwen was standing in total frozen shock.

Gwen held her hands over her mouth as she realized the terrible thing she had done.

Arthur turned toward the grand spiral staircase with fire burning brightly inside his dark eyes.

He began charging up the steps to face the woman who had endangered his daughter.
