Arthur set his heavy briefcase down on the shiny glass side table nearby.
He knelt beside Elena and helped her stand up safely from the floor.
Arthur: Are you okay, Elena? Tell me everything that just happened.
Elena: She tried to throw the seat over the balcony to smash the documents.
Arthur opened the side compartment of the seat and pulled out the legal envelope.
Inside was the original copy of the family trust fund and property deeds.
Arthur: Victoria, why were you messing with my late wife's original estate file?
Victoria took a step back, her face turning pale in the bright daylight.
Victoria: I was just cleaning out old clutter from the nursery closet, Arthur!
Arthur: These documents were kept inside a locked box inside my private safe!
Elena stood up straight and looked Arthur directly in his clear blue eyes.
Elena: She hired a locksmith yesterday while you were away at the office.
Victoria: That is a complete lie from a crazy maid who wants money!
Arthur reached into his suit jacket and pulled out his mobile phone quickly.
He pressed a button and showed the screen directly to his frightened wife.
Arthur: My security app sent me a video alert two hours ago, Victoria.
The video clearly showed Victoria opening the safe and stealing the heavy folder.
It also showed her walking out to the balcony with the baby's car seat.
Victoria gasped softly and covered her mouth with her trembling, manicured hands.
Arthur: You thought you could destroy my son's trust fund and steal his money.
Victoria: Arthur, please listen to me, I did it for our future together!
Arthur: You never cared about this family or my innocent little boy at all!
Arthur walked toward the phone on the wall and dialed his divorce lawyer.
Arthur: My legal team is preparing a full lawsuit and a restraining order right now.
Victoria backed away toward the front door, realizing her grand plan had failed completely.
The grand mansion felt colder than ever as her terrible secrets were fully exposed.
