A Dangerous Fall From Grace

The Rich Stepmother Pushed The Boy Down The Stairs

Victoria lunged forward aggressively toward the helpless young boy.

"Get out of my life!" Victoria screamed across the vast room.

Her harsh voice echoed off the high hand-carved wooden ceilings.

Leo stumbled backward in absolute terror from her sudden angry advance.

His tiny polished dress shoes lost their grip on the smooth step.

Leo fell backward right down the steep grand marble staircase.

He tumbled repeatedly down six hard stone steps into the center hall.

A loud crash echoed through the mansion as he hit the landing.

Leo let out a piercing cry of pain that shattered the silence.

Sarah dropped her cleaning rag and sprinted across the floor.

She slid onto her knees right beside the trembling young boy.

Leo sobbed hysterically while clutching his left arm tightly to his chest.

Sarah gently lifted him into her arms and held him tight.

"I've got you, you're safe now!" Sarah wept softly.

She rubbed his back gently while holding back her own tears.

The young boy buried his face into Sarah's soft grey uniform.

His body shook uncontrollably from the terrifying impact of the fall.

Victoria stood at the top of the stairs looking entirely unfazed.

She adjusted her emerald dress without a single drop of remorse.

"Get your hands away from him!" Victoria barked down loudly.

"He is just dramatic like his weak mother was!" Victoria yelled.

Sarah looked up at the wealthy woman with pure burning rage.

"How could you do this to a motherless child?" Sarah demanded.

"He tripped over his own big feet," Victoria lied coldly.

"Nobody will ever take the word of a poor maid over mine," she added.

Leo sobbed louder as the pain in his elbow grew worse.

Sarah knew she had to protect the child at all costs.

She carefully checked Leo's head and neck for any severe injuries.

Thank goodness the thick carpet at the bottom broke his fall.

Victoria slowly began walking down the steps with a sneer.

"You are fired as of this exact second, Sarah," Victoria declared.

"Pack your cheap bags and leave my mansion right now," she commanded.

Sarah stood her ground firmly and held Leo even closer.

"I am not leaving this boy alone with a monster," Sarah stated.

Victoria raised her hand to point toward the heavy front door.

Before she could speak another word, a heavy sound startled everyone.

The massive front double doors flew open with extreme force.

Richard Sterling stepped into the foyer with two personal security guards.

He wore a custom black suit and carried his leather briefcase.

He stopped dead in his tracks as he saw the scene.

His young son was crying on the floor in the maid's arms.

His fiancé was standing over them with an angry raised hand.

Richard dropped his heavy briefcase straight onto the floor with a thud.
