Before Elena could process the strange realization heavy footsteps echoed across the patio stones.
The giant white front doors of the mansion swung wide open with a loud thud.
Richard Miller stepped outside wearing a black dress shirt and a worried stern look.
He had heard the chaotic screaming through his open office window facing the garden.
Richard: What is going on out here? Why is everyone screaming by the pool?

Victoria: Oh Richard it was terrible! She tried to drown your baby boy in the deep water!
Richard gasped in horror as he looked over at the soaked maid on the ground.
Richard: What did you just say Victoria? Is that really true?
Victoria: Yes! I saw her push the stroller into the deep pool with my own eyes!
Elena scrambled up onto her knees while water pooled around her black uniform skirts.
Elena: That is an evil lie Mr. Miller! I swear on my life I did not do that!
Victoria: Look at how guilty she acts Richard! She is crying because she was caught!
Richard stepped forward with an enraged look on his high prominent forehead.
Richard: Where is Liam right now? Where is my son?
Victoria pointed a manicured hand toward the small pool house near the far garden fence.
Victoria: I managed to grab him right before she pushed the stroller into the water!
Elena shook her head rapidly while hot tears mixed with the pool water on her cheeks.
Elena: Mrs. Miller pushed an empty stroller filled with heavy sand into the deep pool!
Elena: Why would you believe her over me when I have served your family loyally?
Richard picked up the wet blanket on the ground and saw the heavy bag of sand inside.
Victoria: She brought that sand from the garden shop to weigh down the stroller, Richard!
Victoria: She wanted to make sure my poor sweet stepson sank right to the bottom!
Richard turned his glare back to Elena with deep anger and complete betrayal in his eyes.
Richard: Pack your personal belongings right now before I call the local police department.
Elena: Mr. Miller please open your eyes and listen to the actual truth!
Richard: You are fired from this household immediately and you must leave my property now!
