Marcus walked into the center of the foyer holding a leather briefcase.
The two uniformed Dallas police officers followed closely behind the senior lawyer.
Marcus: Richard, we received your emergency message on the way over.
Richard: Marcus, take a look at the security footage on this flash drive.
Richard handed the small USB drive directly to his corporate attorney.
Richard: My wife forged documents to steal my estate and my daughter's trust.
Richard: She also held my daughter under forced labor conditions for six months.
Marcus turned his gaze sharply toward Victoria, who was visibly shaking.
Marcus: Mrs. Vance, forging notary signatures on trust funds is a federal felony.
Victoria: She signed those papers willingly! I didn't force anyone!
Arthur: The audio recordings prove otherwise, officer.
Arthur pointed calmly toward the brown folder in Richard's lap.
Arthur: You can hear Mrs. Vance threating to harm Miss Clara's father if she refused.
One of the police officers stepped forward with a pair of handcuffs ready.
Officer: Victoria Vance, you are under arrest for extortion and grand theft auto-fraud.
Victoria: You cannot touch me! Do you know who my lawyers are?
Officer: You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can be used against you.
The officer turned Victoria around and cuffed her wrists behind her back.
Victoria glared at Clara with pure hatred as she was led toward the front door.
Victoria: You ruined everything, you little brat!
Richard: Get her out of my home right now.
The front door shut firmly as the officers escorted Victoria down the stone steps.
The high-pitched siren of the police cruiser echoed down the quiet suburban street.
Silence fell over the large white foyer once again, softer and lighter this time.
