Victoria hurried down the marble steps in her high heels, pointing her finger aggressively right at Sarah.
"You terrible maid! She pushed my baby down the stairs!" Victoria shrieked out at the top volume.
Her loud voice echoed loudly through the large marble hall, ringing off the tall white concrete pillars.
Mark Crawford rushed out of his private home office downstairs, looking pale and completely alarmed by noise.
He wore a navy blue dress shirt and looked frantically between Sarah and his girlfriend in gold.
"What did you do?! What happened to my baby girl?!" Mark demanded angrily with a trembling voice.
Victoria fell against Mark's shoulder, weeping fake tears and pointing her finger back toward the frightened maid.
"I saw her do it, Mark! Sarah pushed the stroller on purpose because I corrected her work earlier!"
Mark looked at Sarah with dark rage building in his eyes, believing the words of his trusted partner.
"I gave you a job and trusted you in my home, Sarah! How could you be so cruel?"
Sarah shook her head rapidly while tightly holding the crying baby against her soft grey uniform dress.
"Please sir, I swear on my life that I did not push this stroller!" Sarah cried out loudly.
"I was down at the bottom of the hall when I heard the wheels clattering on steps!"
"She is lying to save herself! Fire her right now and call the local police department!" Victoria shouted.
Mark stepped forward aggressively toward Sarah, his hands clenched into tight fists from pure, unbridled anger.
"Give me my daughter right now, Sarah! You will go to prison for trying to hurt her!"
Sarah felt her stomach drop as she realized nobody in the grand house believed her honest word.
She held little Maya out gently into Mark's trembling arms while tears ran down her tired face.
Mark held his baby daughter close, glaring at Sarah as if she were a dangerous criminal monster.
Victoria smirked secretly behind Mark's back, believing her wicked plan had worked out completely and perfectly.
