Adrian stepped between Elena and Victoria with an angry look in his eye.
Adrian: You need to pack your things and leave this house right now.
Elena: Please, sir, do not let her deceive you like this today!
Victoria: Get out of our house before I press criminal charges against you!
A quiet voice suddenly spoke up from the dark upper hallway above them.
Lily: Dad, wait a minute before you send Elena away!
Twelve-year-old Lily Montgomery stood at the top of the grand marble stairs.
She held a dark smartphone tightly in her small hands against her dress.
Adrian looked up at his older daughter with a confused expression on his face.
Adrian: Lily, go back to your room, this is not for you.
Lily: I saw everything from the second floor library doorway, Dad.
Victoria's face instantly lost all of its color as Lily walked down stairs.
Victoria: Lily, sweetie, go upstairs, you do not know what happened here.
Lily: I do know what happened because I recorded the whole thing on video.
Lily reached the bottom landing and held her phone out toward her father.
Adrian held Maya with one arm and took the phone with his other hand.
He pressed the play button on the bright touch screen right away.
The clear high-definition video began playing on the small phone screen immediately.
It showed Victoria standing alone near the top stroller handle on the landing.
The video clearly captured Victoria releasing the brake and pushing the carriage hard.
It showed Elena running across the floor and diving to catch the stroller.
Adrian: My god... Victoria...
Victoria took two fast steps back toward the front door in total shock.
Victoria: Adrian, listen to me, that video is not showing everything!
Lily: You lied to my dad and tried to blame poor Elena!
Adrian glared at Victoria with pure anger burning inside his bright eyes.
Adrian: You put my baby daughter in grave danger just to frame Elena!
Victoria: I was only trying to get rid of a maid who disrespected me!
Adrian: You almost destroyed our entire family with your wicked lying schemes!
