Lies On The Marble Floor

The Maid Saved The Baby But Her Boss Fired Her

David held his baby close and checked his forehead for any signs of injury.

The baby was completely fine, just startled and wet from the sudden splash.

David looked down at Clara with confusion written all over his face.

Clara looked up at her boss with honest eyes.

Clara: I jumped in! I saved him!

Before David could speak, Victoria stepped forward with a furious look on her face.

Her sharp green dress rustled as she stomped her high heels on the tile.

Victoria: Don't listen to her! She pushed the stroller into the pool!

Clara gasped in complete disbelief as her heart dropped like a stone.

Clara: No! That's a lie, I would never hurt him!

Victoria: I saw you with my own eyes, Clara!

Victoria: You were angry because I asked you to clean the guest house!

Victoria: You bumped the stroller on purpose to get back at me!

Clara shook her head frantically as cold tears streamed down her face.

She pressed her hands together in a desperate plea for justice.

Clara: Sir, please, I swear on my life I ran to save him!

David: What actually happened here?

David looked between his weeping maid and his angry wife.

He was deeply stressed by the recent loss of his late wife, Leo's mother.

Victoria leaned in very close to David's shoulder and lowered her voice.

Victoria: Make it clear, David. She is dangerous to our family.

Victoria: If you keep her here, I will take my trust fund and leave you.

David looked down at the soaked maid on her knees.

He felt confused and overwhelmed by the sudden chaos in his quiet home.

David: Pack your things, Clara. You are fired immediately.

Clara: Sir, please listen to the truth!

David: Leave before I call the police.

Clara bowed her head down until her forehead touched the wet marble floor.

She sobbed bitterly as the wealthy man walked away with his son.

Victoria smiled coldly and kicked Clara's wet shoe with her expensive heel.

Clara gathered her small bag from her room with trembling hands.

She walked out of the heavy iron gates without a single dollar in severance pay.
