The Splash In The Pool

The Maid Saved The Baby But Her Boss Fired Her

The morning sun shone bright and warm over the huge estate in Florida.

Clara adjusted her blue maid uniform as she wiped down the outdoor glass tables.

She loved working for the Vance family because the baby boy always made her smile.

Little Leo was only six months old and had bright blue eyes.

David Vance was a busy young CEO who ran a huge real estate startup.

His new wife Victoria was stepmother to little Leo.

Victoria always wore expensive designer dresses and treated the staff very poorly.

Clara noticed that Victoria rarely smiled at the baby when David was not looking.

On this sunny Tuesday, Victoria pushed the heavy black baby stroller out onto the patio.

The patio was smooth marble and sat right next to the deep swimming pool.

Clara turned her back for just a moment to grab a clean yellow cloth.

Suddenly she heard the terrible sound of wheels sliding rapidly across wet tiles.

She spun around and saw the stroller rolling fast toward the edge of the water.

Victoria was standing several feet away with her phone held up to her ear.

Before Clara could scream, the heavy stroller fell straight into the blue water.

Clara did not hesitate for even one single second.

She threw her rag onto the ground and ran as fast as she could.

She leaped directly into the deep end of the cold pool with all her clothes on.

The heavy blue uniform soaked up water instantly and pulled her down toward the bottom.

Clara fought the heavy weight and reached out her hands through the bubbles.

She grabbed the handle of the stroller and pulled the baby out of his safety harness.

She kicked her feet hard and lifted little Leo high above the water surface.

The baby coughed and cried loudly as Clara pushed him onto the dry poolside concrete.

Clara pulled herself out of the pool, gasping desperately for air.

Her hair was completely soaked and sticking to her face.

She wrapped the shivering baby in a dry white towel from the lounge chair.

Just then, the grand glass doors slammed open violently.

David rushed outside with a look of pure horror on his young face.

He ran past Victoria and pulled his crying son into his strong arms.

Clara knelt on the cold marble, shivering and catching her breath.

She felt relief in her heart because the sweet child was alive and safe.

She looked up at David with tears mixing with pool water on her pale cheeks.
