Justice By The Water

The Maid Saved His Son From A Deep Swimming Pool

Two strong police officers walked quickly into the glass office with heavy boots.

They immediately placed silver handcuffs tightly around Victoria's slender wrists.

She screamed and thrashed wildy while they led her out down the hallway floor.

Victoria: You will regret this day, Arthur Sterling!

Victoria: I will sue every single one of you for this terrible public humiliation!

The officers pushed her gently into the back seat of the black police car.

The door clicked shut and the vehicle drove away down the long asphalt driveway.

Arthur turned around to look at Elena, who was still dripping wet on his rug.

He walked closer and took her wet hand in his warm dry hands softly.

Arthur: I accused you falsely outside by the pool, Elena.

Arthur: I allowed my anger and confusion to blind my judgment tonight.

Elena: You were protecting your son, sir. I understand why you were angry.

Julian pulled his wheelchair over to the desk with a bright, relieved smile.

Julian: You saved my life tonight, Elena. I can never repay you enough.

Julian: You jumped into that freezing deep water without a single second of fear.

Elena: Anyone with a good heart would have done the exact same thing, Julian.

Arthur shook his head firmly and opened his desk drawer to pull out a pen.

Arthur: No, very few people would risk their own life for someone else like that.

Arthur: You showed more loyalty to my son than his own fiancee ever did.

He pulled out a thick checkbook and began writing quick numbers on the line.

Arthur: I am appointing you as the head estate manager starting tomorrow morning.

Arthur: Your salary will be triple what you earn as a simple housekeeper today.

Elena raised her hands in complete surprise and gasped with open eyes.

Elena: Mr. Sterling, that is far too generous for doing my normal duty!

Arthur: You earned every single cent by exposing the evil truth tonight.
