The heavy iron gates unlocked with a loud electronic click sound instantly.
Arthur stood near the front doors, looking at his smartphone with pale skin.
He had watched the full video recording showing Evelyn's terrible, calculated actions.
His whole body was shaking with intense rage and deep self-regret right now.
Evelyn was standing beside him in the foyer, holding a glass of juice.
Evelyn: Why did you open the gate for that thieving maid again?
Arthur turned around slowly to face his wife with cold, furious eyes.
He held up his smartphone screen right in front of Evelyn's face.
Arthur: Explain this video clip to me right now, Evelyn!
Evelyn looked at the clear video playing her entire crime in bright detail.
The glass cup slipped from her hands and shattered on the marble floor.
Evelyn: Arthur... I can explain everything to you, please listen!
Arthur: You tried to harm my innocent infant son for my money!
Two city police cruisers pulled up the long driveway with bright flashing lights.
Arthur had called the local police department five minutes ago after seeing video.
Elena walked back into the grand foyer as two officers entered behind her.
Police Officer: Evelyn Sterling, you are under arrest for child endangerment.
The officer placed heavy steel handcuffs around Evelyn's wrists behind her back.
Evelyn began to cry real tears of panic as she was led away.
Evelyn: Please, Arthur! Do not do this to me!
Arthur ignored her pleas as the officers led her out into daylight.
He turned to face Elena with deep remorse in his voice and eyes.
Arthur: I am so sorry for doubting your honesty and loyalty, Elena.
Arthur: You saved my son's life today when I was not here.
Elena: I only care about keeping little Leo safe from harm, sir.
Arthur: I want you to stay as his full-time legal guardian and nanny.
Arthur: I will double your monthly salary and give you total trust here.
Elena smiled softly as little Leo reached out his tiny hands toward her.
She took the happy baby boy into her arms and held him tight.
Truth and love had prevailed, keeping the innocent family safe at last.
