The Maid Saved His Son Before His Wife Could Act

Arthur stared at the glittering diamond necklace in Elena's trembling hand with rage.

The air in the grand foyer felt thick and heavy with intense silence.

Arthur: How could you do this after everything I paid you?

Elena: I did not put this in my pocket, sir!

Elena: She planted it on me when she grabbed my arm upstairs!

Evelyn: You are a pathetic thief who put my stepson in danger!

Evelyn: Arthur, call the police right now and have her locked away forever!

Arthur took two long strides toward the staircase, his face red with anger.

He looked down at Elena with deep disappointment in his cold blue eyes.

Arthur: Give me my son right now, Elena.

Elena carefully handed the crying baby boy over into Arthur's strong arms.

Arthur held little Leo close against his chest to soothe the infant's fears.

Arthur: Pack your things and get out of my house this instant!

Elena: Please, Mr. Sterling, you have to look at the security cameras!

Evelyn: The security cameras in the hallway have been offline all morning.

Evelyn: The technician said the main power line was cut earlier today.

Elena remembered seeing a local electrician van parked outside the main gate yesterday.

Evelyn had deliberately arranged for the hallway camera system to be turned off completely.

She had planned this entire event to get rid of both Leo and Elena.

Arthur: I do not want to hear another word from your mouth!

Arthur: If you are not off my property in five minutes, I call police!

Evelyn stood on the staircase landing with a smug smile hidden from Arthur.

Elena knew she could not convince Arthur without real solid proof right now.

She stood up from the hard floor and wiped her wet face with her sleeve.

Elena: I am leaving, but the truth will come out soon enough.

She walked toward the service door at the back of the large mansion.

Her heart felt heavy because she was leaving little Leo with a dangerous woman.

She swore to herself that she would find a way to protect the child.
