Vanessa: Marcus, listen to me! I was only trying to take him upstairs for his afternoon nap!
Marcus: By dragging him across the stone floor by his arm while he screamed for mercy?!
Vanessa: He was throwing a temper tantrum! He refused to walk up the stairs!
Maria: That is not true, Mr. Sterling! He was playing quietly with his wooden blocks when she grabbed him!
Vanessa: Shut your mouth, you useless maid! You have no right to speak to my husband!
Marcus: Do not shout at Maria! She protected my son while you were harming him!
Vanessa: I am his mother! I have every right to discipline my child however I see fit!
Marcus: You are his stepmother, Vanessa! And you have zero right to put your hands on him!
The little boy sobbed softly against Marcus's neck, his small body shivering under the cool foyer air.
Baby: Daddy, my arm hurts really bad... she squeezed it tight.
Marcus: Shh, Leo. Daddy’s got you now. Let me look at your arm, buddy.
Marcus pulled back the sleeve of his son's small shirt, revealing distinct red finger marks forming dark bruises around the child's soft wrist.
Marcus: Look at this! Look at what you did to my three-year-old son!
Vanessa: It's just a light red mark! His skin bruises very easily, you know that!
Marcus: You put your full strength into twisting his wrist! You absolute psycho!
Maria: Sir, look at my face as well. When I tried to stop her yesterday in the kitchen, she struck me.
Maria turned her head, pulling back her dark hair to reveal a deep black eye and swelling along her cheekbone.
Marcus: She hit you too, Maria?! Why didn't you call my personal phone immediately?!
Maria: She threatened to fire me and revoke my work visa if I ever spoke a word to you, sir.
Vanessa: She's making up stories to get a massive financial payoff from your estate!
Marcus: Maria has worked for my family for eight years, Vanessa! She loved my late wife, and she loves Leo!
Vanessa: So you trust a hired servant over your own legal wife?!
Marcus: I trust anyone who doesn't bruise a helpless baby!
Vanessa: I married you to build a family, Marcus! Not to be accused of crimes by your household staff!
Marcus: You married me for my trust fund, my mansion, and my corporate standing in Palm Beach!
Vanessa: That is an absolute lie! I love you!
Marcus: If you loved me, you wouldn't torture the boy who carries my late wife's eyes!
Vanessa: That's what this is really about, isn't it?! You still see Sarah every time you look at him!
Marcus: Leave Sarah out of your filthy mouth!
Vanessa: I am sick and tired of living in a dead woman's shadow inside this mansion!
Marcus: Then you won't have to live in it for another minute. Get your belongings and get out.
