Two uniform security officers arrived through the front double doors short minutes later.
They stood firmly near the entry archway under the shadow of the flag.
Richard: Please make sure this woman removes her personal items and leaves my estate.
Victoria glared bitterly at Sarah and the baby as security stepped forward.
Victoria: You will regret taking her side over mine, Richard Sterling!
Richard: The only regret I have is bringing a liar into my family home.
The guards escorted Victoria up the stairs so she could pack her bags.
Richard walked over to Sarah and gently stroked his baby son's soft cheek.
Richard: You saved my late wife's legacy and my son's entire future today.
Sarah: I only did what was right for an innocent child, sir.
Richard: Most people would have stayed quiet to protect their own jobs.
Sarah: A job means nothing if a helpless baby loses his rights.
Richard smiled warmly for the first time since returning home that busy afternoon.
He pulled a gold key from his pocket and held it out to Sarah.
Richard: From this day on, you are no longer just the household maid.
Sarah looked at the golden key with confusion visible in her gentle eyes.
Sarah: What does this key open, Mr. Sterling?
Richard: It opens the private estate office and the family safe upstairs.
Richard: I want you to become the chief manager of this entire household.
Sarah gasped softly as tears of joy swelled up in her eyes.
Sarah: Are you sure you want to grant me such big responsibility, sir?
Richard: You showed more integrity today than anyone else in this house.
The security guards walked Victoria back down the stairs carrying her suitcases.
She kept her head lowered in deep shame as she left the mansion forever.
Victoria: You have not seen the last of my legal team, Richard!
Richard: My lawyers are already preparing divorce papers and filing police charges.
The heavy front doors shut firmly as Victoria was escorted into a car.
