Sarah walked back into the foyer carrying a small digital security drive in her hand.
She held it out toward Julian while Victoria watched with rising terror in her eyes.
Sarah: Sir, you had security cameras installed near the upper hallway last month.
Julian: The high-definition system that links directly to my office computer network?
Sarah: Yes, sir. The angles cover the entire balcony landing very clearly.
Victoria lunged forward suddenly, trying to grab the small drive out of Sarah's hand.
Julian moved quickly, stepping firmly between Victoria and the brave young maid.
Julian: Do not touch her or anything else in this house again!
Julian took the drive and inserted it directly into his mobile device screen.
The high-definition video loaded instantly, showing crystal clear footage of the entire incident.
The footage clearly showed Victoria wheeling the bassinet directly toward the high railing edge.
It showed her checking the hallway, placing her hands on the frame, and pushing hard.
It also recorded Sarah leaping forward with miraculous speed to catch the heavy frame safely.
Julian held the bright screen up directly in front of Victoria's trembling face.
Julian: Look at this video evidence and tell me again it was an accident!
Victoria shrank back against the wall, unable to say a single word in defense.
Victoria: Julian... please... we can fix this without calling the authorities!
Julian: You endangered a helpless infant for money and blamed an innocent worker!
Sarah: She wanted me arrested so nobody would question her story, sir.
Julian: She will be the one answering to police officers before this afternoon ends.
Julian pressed three buttons on his phone and placed it directly to his ear.
Victoria sank down onto the lower step of the grand staircase, weeping bitterly.
Her greed had cost her everything she had worked so hard to manipulate.
