Emma was already crying on the marble floor of the massive Texas mansion.

Several family members stood around her while Daniel held a small velvet jewelry box in his hand.

The box belonged to his late mother.

Inside had been a diamond necklace worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Now the necklace was missing.

Daniel: “My mother's necklace disappeared from my study, and somehow it ended up inside your bag.”

Emma looked at the handbag lying beside her.

Emma: “I didn't put it there.”

Daniel: “Then explain why your fingerprints are on the box.”

Emma: “Because you gave me the box earlier today.”

Daniel's wife, Claire, stepped forward.

Claire: “Stop making excuses. We trusted you.”

Emma looked around the room.

She had worked for the family for almost four years.

She had cleaned the house, helped with the children, and cared for Daniel's elderly mother before she passed away.

She had never stolen anything.

Emma: “Please check the cameras.”

Daniel: “The cameras don't cover the study.”

Emma looked toward the hallway.

Emma: “Then ask your son.”

Everyone looked at ten-year-old Noah.

The boy stood beside the staircase, visibly frightened.

Claire: “Noah, go upstairs.”

Noah: “But I saw what happened.”

Daniel immediately walked toward him.

Daniel: “You didn't see anything.”

Noah looked at Emma.

Then he looked at his father.

Noah: “Yes, I did.”

Daniel's expression became serious.

Daniel: “Noah, this is an adult matter.”

Noah: “But you're lying.”

The room went silent.

Emma slowly raised her head.

Daniel: “Watch your words.”

Noah: “I saw her put the necklace in Emma's bag.”

Claire's face changed.

Claire: “Who?”

Noah pointed across the room.

His finger stopped on Claire's sister, Rebecca.

Noah: “Her.”

Rebecca immediately stepped forward.

Rebecca: “That's impossible.”

Noah: “I saw you.”

Daniel stared at his son.

Daniel: “Noah, don't accuse someone without proof.”

Noah: “Dad, that's a lie! I saw her plant it in her bag earlier!”

Rebecca's face went pale.

Emma began crying harder.

Rebecca: “He's confused.”

Noah: “I'm not confused.”

Daniel suddenly grabbed Noah's shoulder.

Daniel: “Enough.”

But Noah pulled away.

Noah: “Why are you protecting her?”

Daniel looked at Rebecca.

For a moment, neither of them spoke.

Then Daniel said something that shocked everyone.

Daniel: “Because she is my biological sister.”

The room became completely silent.

Emma stared at him.

Emma: “What?”

Rebecca started crying.

Daniel: “My father had another daughter before he married my mother.”
