Officer: What do we have here, Mister Adrian?
Adrian: Proof of embezzlement, fraud, and illegal property theft attempts.
The officer reviewed the bank records and forged signature pages inside.
He looked up at Victoria with a very stern expression on.
Officer: Ma'am, you need to turn around and place your hands behind.
Victoria: This is a massive mistake, I am his fiancée!
Officer: The documents here show clear evidence of major financial crimes.
The officer placed metal handcuffs around Victoria's slender wrists.
She yelled angrily as they led her out the front doors.
Her expensive red dress dragged against the wet library floor tiles.
The heavy front doors of the mansion shut with a loud sound.
Silence fell over the large library room once again today.
Adrian turned around to face Clara and her little daughter Lily.
He walked over and knelt down in front of the toddler.
Adrian: You were very brave today, little one.

Clara wiped a tear of relief from her warm cheek.

Adrian stood up and looked around the large quiet room.
He knew things in his home had to change starting today.
Adrian: I am promoting you to full estate manager, Clara.
Clara: Mister Adrian, I do not know what to say!
Adrian: You will have a higher salary and safe housing here.
Lily smiled brightly and clapped her small yellow rubber gloves.
Lily: Does that mean we can stay here forever now?
Adrian: Yes, Lily, you and your mom are safe here.
