The Golden Gown Stepmother Dropped The Baby

The bright morning sun streamed through the floor-to-ceiling windows of the Sterling family's Bel-Air estate, illuminating the polished marble floor and the crystal chandelier above. Inside the grand foyer, flanked by two large American flags hanging along the sweeping staircase, the air was thick with tension. Evelyn Sterling stood on the upper balcony, her shimmering golden satin gown catching the daylight as she stared down with cold contempt at her daughter-in-law, Clara.

Evelyn: You thought you could trap my son with a child that doesn't belong in this family, Clara!

Clara: Evelyn, please step away from the railing! Toby is just an innocent three-month-old baby!

Evelyn: He is an intruder who will never touch a single dollar of the Sterling trust fund!

Evelyn raised the tiny infant wrapped in a white blanket high above her head. Below, the household maid, Sarah, froze near the base of the stairs, her heart stopping in pure terror as she watched the older woman's knuckles whiten against the blanket.

Clara: Evelyn, no! Bring him down right now!

Evelyn: Let's see if your precious little scam can survive a fall!

With an unyielding look on her face, Evelyn tossed the baby high into the air over the second-floor balcony railing. Clara let out a blood-curdling scream that echoed across the marble walls as the blanket fell through the open air toward the hard stone floor below. Was this the end of the rightful Sterling heir, or could anyone reach the infant in time?
