Confrontation At The Stairs

The Emerald Dress Hidden Truth Inside The Grand Marble Mansion

Arthur dropped his heavy leather briefcase onto the polished entryway floor.

The dull thud echoed through the silent, massive marble entryway space.

His dark eyes locked onto Victoria, who remained standing on the balcony.

Victoria tried to regain her composure, pulling her shoulders back proudly.

Victoria: She is lying to you, Arthur, like she always does!

Elena: I am telling the absolute truth, Mr. Sterling, I swear it!

Elena slowly stood up from the cold floor, holding the frame tenderly.

Arthur did not say a word as he began walking forward steadily.

His heavy dress shoes clicked loudly against the polished white marble steps.

He climbed the grand winding staircase with measured, forceful steps upward.

Victoria took a step back from the railing, her face turning pale.

She smoothed down her green dress with hands that trembled visibly now.

Victoria: Arthur, listen to me before you make a huge mistake!

Arthur reached the top landing and stopped right in front of her.

His towering presence seemed to fill the entire wide hallway area.

Arthur: Why were you holding our mother's brass case near the railing?

Victoria: I was simply moving old belongings out of father's office space!

Arthur: You knew how much that specific portrait means to my daughter!

Victoria scoffed bitterly, folding her arms tightly across her chest area.

Victoria: You care more about sentimental trinkets than your own sister's rights!

Arthur: Rights to what, Victoria? You have received everything you ever needed!

Victoria stepped closer to him, her eyes flashing with extreme anger.

Victoria: Father promised me half of the primary inheritance before he died!

Arthur: The official court documents state otherwise, and you know that well!

Down in the foyer, Elena stood near the base of the stairs.

She placed the precious portrait safely onto a plush velvet armchair nearby.

She could hear the heated argument escalating higher with every passing second.

Two security guards stepped into the foyer from the back hallway area.

They looked up toward the balcony, waiting for instructions from Arthur.

Victoria: You hid the real revised will inside father's wall safe!

Arthur: There is no revised will, Victoria, stop this absolute nonsense now!

Victoria: I found the key in his desk drawer two nights ago!

Arthur's eyes narrowed as he realized what she had been doing.

Arthur: You broke into father's private study while everyone was sleeping?

Victoria: It was my right to search for what belongs to me!

Arthur: You have crossed every line of respect and honesty in this home!

He pointed a firm finger toward the grand staircase behind her path.

Arthur: Get out of my house immediately before I call the authorities!

Victoria: You cannot throw me out of my childhood home like trash!

Arthur: Watch me, Victoria, because your time under this roof ends now!

Victoria backed away toward her bedroom door, her teeth grinding together.

She realized her brother was entirely serious about enforcing his command.

She glared down at Elena with pure malice in her sharp glare.

Victoria: This is not over yet, Arthur, not by a long shot!
