Victoria stared at the small blinking camera light in absolute horror.
She had completely forgotten about the security system Mark installed last winter.
Victoria: Mark, please, delete those camera recordings right now!
Mark: I will never delete evidence of a crime.
Victoria: I was desperate, Mark, I owe money to dangerous people!
Mark: That is no excuse to try and take my life!
Victoria: If you love me at all, you will let me leave quietly!
Mark: I loved a person I thought was kind and honest.
Mark: But you are just a stranger who tried to destroy my child's future.
Lily held onto her father's pant leg, feeling safe beside him.
Lily: Daddy, I was scared she would hurt you.
Mark: You were so brave today, my beautiful girl.
Mark: You saved my life, and I am so proud of you.
Loud police sirens began to echo down the peaceful neighborhood street outside.
Victoria ran toward the front door, attempting to escape into the front yard.
Mark: Stop right there, Victoria!
Mark moved quickly and stood firmly in front of the heavy wooden front door.
Victoria: Move out of my way right now!
Mark: You are not going anywhere until the officers step inside this house.
Victoria: You cannot keep me trapped in this room!
Mark: I am keeping my family safe until justice is served.
Outside, red and blue lights flashed brightly through the tall living room windows.
Car tires screeching on the driveway signaled that help had finally arrived.
Victoria backed away from the entrance, her hands shaking uncontrollably with panic.
Victoria: My lawyer will have me out of trouble in two hours!
Mark: No lawyer in the world can save you from clear video footage.
The heavy front doorbell rang loudly across the quiet grand hallway.
Mark unlocked the latch and opened the heavy wooden door wide.
Two tall police officers stepped inside the house with stern looks on their faces.
