Confrontation At The Courthouse

Richard: "Your Honor, as the sole listed heir of the Miller family estate, I request immediate execution of the property title transfer."

Judge: "Mr. Miller, has your sister Sarah been fully notified of these final proceedings?"

Richard: "Yes, Your Honor. She chose not to attend. She understands that our father left everything in my management."

Lawyer: "We have all the signed affidavit forms right here, Judge. The foreclosure on her residence will proceed smoothly to satisfy the estate debts."

Judge: "Very well. If there are no objections from any other family members present..."

Sarah: "I OBJECT, YOUR HONOR!"

The heavy doors at the back of the courtroom slammed open against the wood frames. Richard whirled around, his face draining of all color as Sarah marched down the center aisle, followed closely by Marcus and little Lily.

Richard: "Sarah? What are you doing here? You don't have standing in this hearing!"

Sarah: "I have every right to be here, Richard! Especially when you're trying to steal my daughter's inheritance!"

Richard: "Your Honor, ignore her! She's emotional and unstable! Security, please remove her!"

Judge: "Silence, Mr. Miller! Let her speak. Ma'am, what evidence do you bring to this courtroom?"

Sarah: "I bring the true, unredacted last will of our father, signed and certified by his primary estate attorney!"

Sarah slapped the thick papers directly onto the defense table in front of Richard's high-priced corporate lawyer.

Lawyer: "Where on earth did you get this document? This was supposed to be..."

Marcus: "Supposed to be destroyed? Is that what you were going to say, counselor?"

Richard: "Who the hell are you? Get this thug out of my hearing!"

Marcus: "I'm the son of the man your father trusted to keep his real will safe from thieves like you."

Judge: "Bailiff, bring those documents to my bench immediately!"

The judge put on his reading glasses, scanning the notary seals and official stamps while Richard stood frozen, sweat pouring down his collar.

Judge: "Mr. Miller, these papers carry a registered court seal from 2018. Why was this document withheld from the probate registry?"

Richard: "I... I had no idea that existed, Your Honor! I swear!"

Lily: "He's lying, Judge! He came to our house yesterday and told Mom she had to sign the foreclosure papers!"

Judge: "Is this true, Mr. Miller?"

Richard: "She's a child! You can't take the testimony of a nine-year-old!"

Judge: "I can take the evidence of official legal documents, sir. And this will clearly states that your sister and her daughter hold sixty percent controlling interest in the entire estate trust fund!"
