A Bright New Chapter

Six months later, the afternoon sun shone bright over the manicured green lawn of the Sterling estate. The poolside patio was completely clean, the blue water glistening under the warm sky, free of dark shadows.

I sat on a wooden lounge chair near the garden, holding eight-month-old Leo while he giggled happily at the butterflies flying over the rose bushes.

David walked out onto the patio wearing a comfortable linen shirt, holding two glasses of fresh iced tea.

David: How are my two favorite people doing today?

Cora: Leo just learned how to sit up all by himself, David! Look at him!

David dropped to his knees on the grass, laughing with joy as he pulled our son into his arms, lifting him gently into the air.

David: Look at you, big boy! You're getting stronger every single day!

Cora: The new Cora Sterling Maternal Health Center opened its doors downtown this morning, David. We already received fifty patient enrollments.

David: That is the best news I've heard all week, sweetie. You're giving back to the community in a way that truly matters.

Cora: We survived the storm, David. And now we get to build something beautiful for other mothers.

David sat beside me on the wooden lounge chair, holding my hand tightly as we watched little Leo play safely on the green grass under the warm blue sky.

Hand in hand, we looked out over our peaceful home, ready to step forward into a future filled with warmth, health, and everlasting love.
