Uncovering The Inheritance Plot

Board Member Miller: Disgraceful... absolute criminal behavior!

Board Member Davis: Marcus, your daughter targeted a pregnant woman to start a fight!

Marcus: Chloe... tell me you didn't do this intentionally!

Chloe: Dad, she stole David from me! She took the thirty percent trust fund share that belonged to our family!

Cora: I didn't steal anything from you, Chloe! I didn't even know who David was when we met!

David: She didn't marry me for money, Chloe. You did.

David slowly helped me stand up, wrapping his arm around my waist to support my weight while I held my stomach.

David: Officer Vance! Step forward, please.

Two uniformed police officers stepped out from the main entrance doors, led by Detective Vance in a dark trench coat.

Detective Vance: Mr. Sterling, we received the direct video feed on our patrol tablet five minutes ago.

Marcus: Detective! This is a private family dispute! There is no need for police involvement!

Detective Vance: Mr. Marcus, your daughter just committed physical assault on a pregnant woman on camera. That is a non-bailable felony charge in this state.

Chloe: You can't arrest me! My father is a senior board member of Sterling Global!

David: Not anymore, Chloe. The board voted ten minutes ago to remove your father from all executive committees due to the wire fraud investigation.

Marcus stumbled backward, his face pale as he looked at the board members standing near the luxury pillars.

Marcus: What wire fraud investigation?! What are you talking about, David?!

David: The two million dollars you transferred out of the estate trust fund last Tuesday, Marcus. My forensic accountants found the offshore destination account in Nassau an hour before the party started.

Chloe: Dad... you told me those accounts were completely untraceable!

Marcus: Shut your mouth, Chloe!

David: Thank you for confirming the offshore account on live audio, Chloe. The police recording team appreciates it.

Chloe gasped, her hands flying to her mouth as she realized she had just confessed to a federal financial crime in front of two hundred witnesses and two police officers.
