Sarah left the room to execute the careful secret plan.
Ten minutes later, a sudden loud alarm sounded downstairs.
Smoke poured into the hallway from the side kitchen stove.
The smoke detector shrieked with a high sharp tone throughout.
Both security guards ran toward the kitchen to investigate it.
Jillian pulled open her bedroom door which Sarah left unlocked.
She rushed down the carpeted stairs with quick silent steps.
She reached the main coat closet near the grand entrance.
Her hands searched the deep pockets of her father's jacket.
Her fingers felt a small rectangular paper card inside the lining.
She pulled out the card with attorney Marcus's phone number.
She ran toward the staff quarters behind the main kitchen.
Sarah met her in the narrow hallway with her phone ready.
Jillian dialed the twelve digits as fast as she could.
The phone rang four long times before someone finally answered.
Marcus: Hello, this is Marcus Vance speaking.
Jillian: Marcus! It is Jillian! Listen to me carefully!
Marcus: Jillian? Your uncle said you were out of town!
Jillian: He lied to you about everything, Marcus!
Jillian: He is holding us captive and drugging my father!
Marcus: What are you talking about? Send me your location!
Jillian: We have physical evidence of the illegal liquid drugs.
Marcus: Stay safe, I am calling the sheriff right now.
Jillian handed the phone back to Sarah with relief.
Suddenly, a heavy shadow fell across the hall doorway.
Arthur stood there with two angry guards right behind him.
His face was red with pure rage and dark malice.
Arthur: You really do not know when to stop, do you?
Jillian: The police are already on their way here!
Arthur: They will find nothing but a family medical crisis.
Arthur grabbed the phone right out of Sarah's trembling hands.
He smashed the mobile device hard onto the tile floor.
Arthur: Lock them both inside the basement storage room now!
The guards stepped forward to grab Jillian's weak arms.
She fought back with all the strength left in her body.
She kicked the guard's knee hard and broke completely free.
She grabbed the heavy brass lamp off the nearby side table.
Jillian: Stay away from me, both of you!
