The quiet room filled with a thick silence that felt almost impossible to break.
Mark stood tall while Sarah sat trembling on the edge of the rug.
Mark: I worked extra night shifts so you could stay home with Lily.
Sarah: You were never here, Mark, and I felt so completely alone!
Mark: That gives you no right to steal from our daughter's trust fund!
Sarah: I can fix this if you give me just one more chance!
Mark: You used our home as a shield to hide your massive lie!
Lily reached out and grabbed the edge of her father's sturdy denim jeans.
Lily: Daddy, please do not yell at Mommy anymore, I am scared.
Mark immediately knelt down on one knee to comfort his small young child.
He wrapped his strong arms around Lily and kissed her soft forehead gently.
Mark: You never have to be scared in this house ever again, Lily.
Mark: Your daddy is going to take care of everything right now today.
He stood back up and looked down at Sarah with complete cold determination.
Mark: You are going to pack your personal bags and leave this property.
Sarah: You cannot just kick me out of my own home like this!
Mark: You committed bank fraud and forged my legal name on mortgage papers.
Mark: Either you walk out that front door now, or police arrive next.
Sarah looked at the broken wall frame and then back at Mark's eyes.
She realized that her long web of deep lies had finally completely collapsed.
