His Rich Mother Dumped Roast Meat On My Head Until The Police Arrived

The polished silver dining utensils glittered under the grand dining room chandelier of the Sterling estate. Clara sat stiffly in her chair, smoothing down the front of her cream-colored wool sweater. She had spent hours getting ready for this family dinner, hoping to finally win over her fiancé’s family. Across the table, her fiancé, Mark, cut into his steak with slow, deliberate precision. Beside him, his mother, Eleanor Sterling, stared at Clara with cold, disdainful eyes.

Eleanor: I still do not understand why my son insists on bringing you into our home, Clara.

Clara: I just wanted us to have a nice evening together, Mrs. Sterling.

Eleanor: A nice evening? You are a schoolteacher with no family inheritance and no background in our social circle. You do not belong at this table.

Mark: Mother, please. We talked about this before we sat down.

Eleanor: No, Mark! Your father built a multi-million dollar real estate empire, and you are throwing your future away on a nobody!

Mark set his fork down with a loud, heavy clatter against the fine china plate. His face flushed bright red, his jaw tightening as he glared across the table at Clara. Suddenly, he stood up, slamming his hands down violently onto the mahogany table. The wine glasses rattled dangerously.

Mark: I've had enough!

Before anyone could react, Mark reached out and lifted a massive ceramic platter loaded with hot roast beef and thick, dark gravy high into the air. His mother gasped in horror, clutching her pearl necklace in disbelief.

Eleanor: Mark! What are you doing?!

Mark: Teaching her where she stands!

In one violent motion, Mark tilted the platter directly over Clara's head. Hot, greasy dark gravy and heavy slabs of meat poured over her vibrant red hair, running down her face and soaking straight through her cream sweater. Clara screamed in pure agony as the hot liquid scalded her forehead, dripping into her eyes and over her cheeks.

Clara: Mark! Stop! It burns!

Mark: Look at what you made me do!

Clara covered her face with her shaking hands, sobbing hysterically as thick brown gravy dripped off her chin onto her lap. Mark stood towering over her, his face contorted in unyielding rage. But as Clara wiped the stinging sauce from her eyes, she caught a glimpse of the hidden camera blinking quietly on the dining room bookshelf.
