Julian: Nurse! Get in here right now! She needs oxygen!
Two panicked ER nurses rushed past the reporters, pushing their way through the crowded doorway with a crash cart and fresh oxygen mask.
Nurse 1: Clear the room! Everyone step back immediately!
Nurse 2: Her pulse is racing! She's severely hypoxic! Secure the mask over her mouth!
Julian backed away slightly, keeping his eyes locked on Esther, who was trying to slide along the wall toward the private bathroom exit.
Julian: Don't move a single inch, Esther. If you step through that door, I'll tackle you to the floor myself.
Esther: You think you're so smart, don't you, Julian? You think you've won?
Julian: This isn't a game, Esther. You tried to kill my sister!
Esther: She was going to ruin everything your father built! She wanted to sell off the commercial estate properties to pay for her foolish charity projects!
Clara: *Muffled under mask* Dad... Dad wanted those buildings... turned into affordable housing...
Julian: Clara was honoring our father's explicit final wishes. You were the one trying to strip the company assets and transfer them to your private offshore accounts in Panama!
Esther: Your father was weak at the end of his life! He wasn't thinking clearly when he drafted that updated will!
Julian: He was thinking clearly enough to realize his second wife was a greedy snake who only cared about his bank account!
Esther: I gave twenty years of my youth to that old man! I took care of him when he was sick! I earned every single dollar of that inheritance!
Julian: You didn't earn anything! You manipulated him while he was in hospice care and forced him to sign fraudulent power of attorney papers!
Esther: You can't prove a single word of that in a court of law!
Julian: I don't have to prove it alone anymore, Esther. Private investigators have been tracking your financial transactions for three weeks.
Esther's breath hitched, her eyes widening as she stared at her stepson in shock.
Esther: Private investigators? You... you hired people to dig through my accounts?
Julian: Did you really think Clara's car accident was just bad luck? A brand-new luxury SUV doesn't suffer total brake line failure on a clear Texas highway unless someone tampered with it.
Esther: That was a mechanical glitch! The dealership admitted there was a recall!
Julian: The mechanic you paid ten thousand dollars to slice her brake line just signed a full confession with the Dallas Police Department an hour ago.
Esther dropped her arms, her back sliding down the white wall as her knees gave out. She slumped onto the cold floor, surrounded by camera flashes and the sound of distant police sirens growing louder outside the hospital complex.
