Brandon: Maya?! Is that really you on the floor?!
Maya: *Whimpering* Brandon... oh God, Brandon... you're really here...
Victoria: Brandon, step away from her right now! She’s unstable! She broke into the kitchen and tried to attack me with that hot bowl!
Brandon: Shut your mouth, Victoria! Look at her! She’s covered in burns!
Brandon stepped past his wife, his dark eyes locked on the weeping woman kneeling on the marble tiles. He reached out with a hand that shook violently, his fingers hovering over Maya’s soup-soaked hair.
Brandon: Maya... what happened to you? Victoria told me you moved back to California two years ago! She told me you gave up our baby and ran away with another man!
Maya: *Sobbing* I never left Dallas! She forced me to work as a maid in this estate! She locked me in the guest quarters and told me you would put me in prison if I ever tried to talk to you!
Victoria: She’s lying, darling! She’s a delusional liar trying to tear our marriage apart! Call security right now and have her dragged off the property!
Brandon: Two years ago... you told me she had a miscarriage in the hospital, Victoria! You showed me the medical discharge papers!
Victoria: Because she did! She lost the child, Brandon! She’s making all of this up because she wants money from our family estate trust fund!
Maya: My baby girl is alive! Victoria took my newborn daughter from the hospital delivery room and gave her to a private adoption agency in Fort Worth! She threatened to harm my baby if I ever spoke a word to you!
Brandon: You... you stole my child?!
Victoria backed up a step, her hands tightening around the empty ceramic bowl as her face paled under the bright hallway lights.
Victoria: I saved this family, Brandon! She was just a common house maid! A gold-digger trying to trap you with a pregnancy! You are a Sterling heir! You couldn't have a child with a servant!
Brandon: She wasn't just a maid to me! I loved her! I searched for her for six months after she disappeared from the apartment!
Victoria: And I stood by you while you grieved! I married you and helped you build your father's company! You owe your entire career to my family's wealth and connections!
Brandon: I don't care about the company, Victoria! You lied to me for two years! You made me believe my child was dead!
Overcome with explosive rage, Brandon took two fast steps forward, raising his open hand and slapping Victoria forcefully across the face. The sharp, violent smack echoed off the high ceilings of the estate hallway.
Victoria: AH!
The sheer force of the slap sent Victoria stumbling sideways. Her heels caught on the edge of the rug, and she collapsed hard onto the marble floor, dropping the ceramic bowl as it shattered into pieces beside her. She clutched her red, burning cheek in total shock, staring up at her husband with wide, terrified eyes.
Brandon: Get up on your feet right now. Because you are going to tell me exactly where my daughter is before the police arrive at this door.
