Arthur: A surrogate...? You lied to me for six months, pretended to be carrying my child, and tried to push my wife out of my life using an unborn baby?!
Chloe: Eleanor was keeping you weak! She didn't want you to expand the company! I wanted to build a legacy with you!
Arthur: You wanted my money, Chloe! You wanted access to the Vance family trust fund!
Chloe: That's not true! I love you, Arthur! The trust fund was just for our future security!
Eleanor: Show him the bank transfers, Arthur. Tell him about the three million dollars she moved out of the corporate escrow account last Friday.
Chloe: How do you know about that?! Those were confidential business transactions!
Eleanor: Nothing in Vance Enterprises is confidential from the chief financial officer, Chloe. Which happens to be the position I’ve held for fifteen years.
Chloe: Arthur told me you were stepping down! He said you were signing the divorce papers today!
Eleanor: I never signed a single paper, Chloe. Arthur brought those documents home, but after Lily told me what she saw in the closet, I had our legal team audit every account you touched.
Arthur looked from Eleanor to Chloe, his hands shaking slightly as he pulled a black leather folder from his inner tuxedo pocket.
Arthur: Three million dollars, Chloe? You transferred three million dollars to an offshore account registered in the Cayman Islands under your maiden name?
Chloe: Arthur, hear me out! It was a retainer fee for the international adoption agency! They required proof of liquidity!
Arthur: Adoption agencies don't accept wire transfers into personal accounts in the Caymans, Chloe. My fraud team confirmed the transfer thirty minutes ago.
Chloe: It was a mistake! The accountant set up the wrong destination code! I can transfer it back right now on my phone!
Arthur: You can't transfer anything back. Those accounts were frozen by federal marshals at five o'clock this afternoon.
Chloe’s face drained of all color. She reached out, trying to grab Arthur’s sleeve, but Arthur stepped back, disgust clearly written across his face.
Chloe: Frozen...? No... no, you can't freeze my personal accounts!
Arthur: They aren't your personal accounts, Chloe. That money belonged to the Vance Foundation. You committed wire fraud, corporate embezzlement, and grand larceny.
Lily: Mommy, is the lady going to put her pillow back now?
Eleanor: Shh, sweetheart. The lady is going to leave now.
Chloe: Eleanor, you think you won, don't you?! You think you can just take him back after he kicked you out of the master bedroom for me?!
Eleanor: I didn't do this to take Arthur back, Chloe. I did this to protect my daughter's inheritance from a ruthless scam artist.
Chloe: He chose me! He loved me! He was ready to give me fifty percent of the company shares on our wedding day!
Arthur: I chose a lie, Chloe. I was blind, arrogant, and stupid. But thank God my daughter has better eyes than I do.
