The morning sun beamed through the grand arched windows of the Dallas estate dining room, filling the space with bright daylight. A framed American flag decor hung quietly on the crisp white wall in the background, overlooking the shiny dining table and grand chandelier. Gabriel sat at the long table in his sharp black tuxedo, taking a sip of coffee while his fiancée, Vanessa, sat across from him in an ivory gown.
Vanessa: Gabriel, we need to finalize the guest list for the charity gala this weekend.
Gabriel: I already told you, Vanessa, my team sent the final numbers to the caterers yesterday.
Vanessa: Well, they obviously didn't do it right because the head seating chart is completely wrong.
A young maid wearing a classic black and white uniform stepped carefully toward the table, carrying a silver tray with a steaming porcelain teapot. Her hands were steady, but her face showed slight tension under Vanessa's cold gaze.
Maid: Excuse me, Miss Vanessa. Here is your hot morning tea.
Vanessa: It's about time. You took ten minutes just to boil water.
As the maid reached over to set the silver cup down, her sleeve lightly grazed the edge of a crystal water glass. Vanessa snapped her head toward the girl, her face twisting with sudden rage. With a sharp, intentional motion, Vanessa grabbed the teapot handle and tipped the scalding liquid directly onto the maid's arm and wrist.
Maid: AHHH! Oh God! It hurts!
Vanessa: YOU HAD ONE JOB!
The maid gasped in sheer agony, stumbling backward while clutching her red, burning skin. Gabriel stared down at his plate, a heavy, silent disappointment settling over his face as the ambient quiet of the dining room shattered into pure tension.
Gabriel: Vanessa... what did you just do?
Vanessa: She was clumsy, Gabriel! She almost ruined my gown with her carelessness!
Gabriel: She touched a glass, Vanessa. You intentionally poured boiling tea on her arm.
Vanessa: She needs to pay attention! Servants in this house think they can do whatever they want!
Gabriel slowly pushed his chair back and stood up from the dining table. His eyes locked onto Vanessa with utter disgust as his hand reached down to his ring finger. The ivory gown she wore suddenly looked hollow, and the woman sitting before him was no longer the person he thought he loved. His decisive expression turned cold as he began sliding his diamond wedding ring off his finger, ready to end everything right then and there.
