The Eviction At The Mansion

By four o'clock that afternoon, three black police cruisers were parked along the brick driveway of the Dallas mansion.

Guests who had arrived for the wedding were standing near their luxury cars in confusion, watching as officers taped off the front entrance.

Inside the grand foyer, Evelyn was frantically throwing designer clothes into a leather suitcase on the marble floor.

Evelyn: You can't put me out of my own house! I am the mistress of this estate!

Officer Ramirez: Ma'am, the probate judge issued an emergency injunction freezing your access to this property immediately.

Evelyn: My lawyer is filing an appeal right now! You have no right to touch my things!

Clara: Those things were bought with stolen trust money, Evelyn.

Clara walked through the double doors, holding Maya by the hand. Maya had replaced her maid uniform with a clean, elegant blue dress Clara had bought for her on the way over.

Evelyn: Look at you... parading this servant around in expensive clothes like she belongs here!

Maya: I do belong here, Evelyn. This mansion was built by my father, not yours.

Evelyn: Your father was a weak man who couldn't even manage his own business without my help!

Clara: My father built a corporate empire, while you leech off his memory like a parasite!

Officer Ramirez: Mrs. Sterling, drop the suitcase and step away from the closet. You are under arrest.

Evelyn: Arrest?! On what grounds?!

Officer Ramirez: Grand larceny, forging legal documents, and child endangerment regarding the fraud committed against Maya Sterling.

Evelyn: This is ridiculous! I am a prominent member of Dallas society!

Officer Ramirez pulled a pair of steel handcuffs from his belt and stepped forward, clicking them firmly around Evelyn's wrists.

Evelyn: Ow! Let go of me! Clara! Tell them to stop this!

Clara: I told you earlier today, Evelyn... touch my sister again, or try to destroy her life, and this wedding becomes your trial. Welcome to your trial.

Evelyn: You ungrateful brat! I hope you both rot in this empty house!

Maya: It won't be empty, Evelyn. It will be filled with the real family you tried so hard to destroy.

The officers escorted the screaming, weeping woman out through the grand double doors, pushing her into the back seat of the police cruiser as the waiting guests watched in absolute shock.

Silence settled over the grand hallway as the police cars drove down the long private driveway, their sirens echoing through the neighborhood.

Maya looked around the soaring marble foyer, her eyes taking in the grand chandelier and the pristine white walls.

Maya: I used to mop these floors every morning at five o'clock... I hated this house so much.

Clara: You don't ever have to mop a floor again, Maya. From today on, this home belongs to both of us.

Maya: I still can't believe you recognized the photo, Emma.

Clara: I kept a copy of that exact same photo under my pillow every night for twelve years, Maya. I never stopped looking for you.

Maya: I love you, Emma.

Clara: I love you too, little sister. Now let's go pack up that terrible maid uniform and throw it in the trash where it belongs.
