The Dallas Police Arrive

Her Daughter Fed Small Sandwiches To The Locked Door Until He Opened It

Daniel: "Dallas Police? I need an emergency tactical unit and an ambulance at my estate in North Dallas immediately! My wife has kidnapped and hidden my eight-year-old daughter in a locked storage room!"

Dispatcher (on phone): "Sir, stay calm. Officers are on their way. Is the child safe?"

Daniel: "She is in my arms right now. Please hurry!"

Victoria scrambled up from the floor, her hair wild and her expensive silk dress wrinkled. She rushed toward the grand curved staircase, intending to lock herself in the master suite upstairs.

Victoria: "You can't prove anything, Daniel! It's your word against mine! A jury will think you locked her in there!"

Daniel: "Look up at the ceiling, Victoria."

Victoria stopped on the fifth step of the staircase, her eyes darting upward. Positioned right near the central crystal chandelier was a small, glowing red lens.

Daniel: "I installed a 4K home security system last month after the corporate break-in attempt downtown. It records 24/7 directly to a cloud server."

Victoria: "No... no, you didn't..."

Daniel: "Every time you opened that storage door, every time you brought a key to that padlock, and every time Emily slid those plates under the door—it was all recorded in high definition."

Victoria's legs gave out, and she sank onto the carpeted stairs, holding her head in her hands as she began to sob hysterically.

Within five minutes, the wailing sirens of four police cruisers and an ambulance filled the long driveway outside. Heavy boots pounded against the front porch, and the front double white doors were pushed open by uniformed Dallas police officers.

Officer Martinez: "Dallas Police! Nobody move! Where is the child?"

Daniel: "Officer, over here! My daughter Lily is right here!"

Two paramedics rushed into the foyer with a stretcher, kneeling down next to Daniel and Lily. The female paramedic gently wrapped a warm blanket around Lily's frail shoulders, checking her pulse and examining the red marks on her ankle.

Paramedic: "She's severely malnourished and dehydrated, sir, but her vital signs are stable. We need to get her to Children's Health Medical Center right away."

Daniel: "I'm coming with you. I'm never letting her out of my sight again."

Officer Martinez walked up the stairs toward Victoria, pulling a pair of heavy steel handcuffs from his belt.

Officer Martinez: "Victoria Vance, step off the stairs and put your hands behind your back."

Victoria: "Officer, please! I'm a respected member of the Dallas charity board! This is a domestic misunderstanding!"

Officer Martinez: "Save it for the judge, ma'am. You are under arrest for aggravated child kidnapping, false imprisonment, and severe child endangerment."

The steel cuffs clicked shut around Victoria's wrists with a sharp sound. She was escorted down the marble stairs, weeping and screaming as the officers led her out past the framed American flag into the flashing red and blue lights outside.
