Julian: "How do you know that name, Elena?"
Elena: "Because Clara Miller was my mother. Before she passed away three years ago, she gave me a birth certificate for a baby boy named Gabriel Miller. Born March 14th, 1998, at Saint Jude Hospital in Dallas."
Julian: "March 14th... that's my birthday."
Elena: "The doctor told my mother her baby died at birth. But she saw a nurse carry him out alive. He had a crescent birthmark on his right wrist."
Julian slowly pulled back his silk cuff, looking down at the dark crescent mark on his skin, his chest heaving as years of carefully guarded family secrets began to crumble around him.
Julian: "My adoptive father... Richard Sterling... he owned Saint Jude Hospital in 1998."
Elena: "He stole you?"
Julian: "My adoptive mother couldn't have children. Richard told me I was adopted from an agency in Chicago. He paid millions to keep my records sealed."
Elena: "You didn't know?"
Julian: "I suspected something was wrong when I took over the Sterling estate two years ago. I found offshore bank payments to a former nurse at Saint Jude... but I never could find the real mother's name."
Tears welled up in Julian's dark eyes as he looked at Elena, taking in her fair skin, her dark eyes, and the quiet resilience that matched his own.
Julian: "You... you're my sister?"
Elena: "I came to work at this mansion three months ago because I saw the Sterling family name on those hospital payoff receipts in my mother's old trunk. I needed to know if the man living in this luxury home was my lost brother."
Julian: "And you didn't tell me? You worked here as a maid?"
Elena: "I saw how rich and powerful you were, Julian. You were a billionaire energy CEO. I was just a girl living in a rented apartment trying to pay off nursing school debt. I thought you'd think I was a fraud looking for an inheritance."
Julian: "I wouldn't have cared about the money, Elena! I spent my whole life feeling like an outsider in the Sterling family!"
Little Leo let out a soft whimper, and Julian gently rocked the infant in his arms, his tears falling onto the baby's white bodysuit.
Julian: "You saved my son today, Elena. You dived across a stone floor to save my child."
Elena: "He's my nephew, Julian. I wasn't going to let anyone hurt him."
Julian reached out with his free hand, grasping Elena's trembling fingers, pulling her up from the cold floor as he stood up in the sunlit foyer.
Julian: "No sister of mine is ever going to clean another floor or wear a uniform in this house again."
Elena: "Julian, people in Texas society will talk... they know me as your servant."
Julian: "Let them talk. Today, the world finds out who the real heir to this family is."
