The Fallen Trophy Wife

Her Boss Threw The Baby Until The Maid Discovered His Secret

Victoria: "Stop it! You're hurting me! Julian, I'm your wife!"

Julian: "Get out of my sight and never step foot in this house again!"

Victoria: "You're taking the word of a poor maid over mine?! Look at her! She's a nobody!"

Julian: "I saw the way you looked at my son when I walked through those doors, Victoria. You never loved him. You only loved my money."

Victoria: "I gave up my life in New York to marry you! You can't just throw me out like trash!"

Julian: "Watch me. Security, get her out of my foyer this instant."

Two tall guards stepped forward from the doorway, grabbing Victoria by her upper arms and dragging her toward the entrance while she kicked and screamed.

Victoria: "You'll regret this, Julian! My father will sue you for every penny of our prenup! You hear me?! Every single penny!"

Julian: "Your father is already facing bankruptcy, Victoria. That's the only reason you married me. Get her out."

The heavy mahogany doors slammed shut, cutting off Victoria's shrieks and leaving the foyer in a heavy, echoing silence. Julian let out a long, ragged breath, his hands trembling as he straightened his maroon velvet lapels. He slowly turned around to face Elena, who remained on her knees on the marble floor, cradling the sobbing baby against her chest.

Julian: "Are you alright... Elena, was it?"

Elena: "I'm okay, sir... but Leo is terrified. His little heart is beating so fast."

Julian: "Let me hold him. Please."

Julian dropped to his knees right beside her on the cold floor, reaching out his large hands. Elena carefully transferred the small baby into his arms. As Julian pulled the infant close, his velvet jacket shifted, exposing a faded, distinct crescent-shaped birthmark on his inner wrist under his silk dress cuff.

Elena caught her breath, her eyes widening in absolute shock. She stared at the mark, then looked up at Julian's face, her lips parting in disbelief.

Julian: "What is it? Why are you staring at me like that?"

Elena: "That mark on your wrist... where did you get that?"

Julian: "It's just a birthmark. I've had it my entire life. Why?"

Elena: "My late mother... she had an exact photograph of a baby with that birthmark hidden inside her Bible. She told me on her deathbed that her biological son was stolen from her at a Dallas hospital twenty-eight years ago."

Julian froze, his gaze locking onto Elena with a sudden, suffocating intensity.

Julian: "What did you just say?"

Elena: "My mother's name was Clara Miller. She was an orphan who worked as a seamstress in Houston."

Julian: "Clara... Clara Miller?"

Julian's voice cracked, the color draining completely from his face as he stared at the young maid kneeling before him in her blue uniform.
