The flashing red and blue lights illuminated the high windows of the grand luxury mansion.
Two local police officers walked quickly up the front porch steps toward the open front door.
Deputy Miller stepped into the foyer and looked at the broken porcelain and tense family scene.
Officer Miller: Mr. Davis, we received your call regarding household fraud and emotional distress.
Mark: Thank you for arriving so quickly, Deputy Miller, I appreciate your immediate response.
Mark: This woman threatened my children with a weapon and attempted to alter trust documents.
Sarah: That is a complete lie, Officer, I was just holding a toy hockey stick!
Richard: I am Mark's legal attorney, and I have document proof of financial fraud right here.
Richard handed the clear file binder to Officer Miller, who began reviewing the signatures carefully.
Officer Miller: Ma'am, did you attempt to transfer real estate deeds without proper authorization from the trust?
Sarah: I am his legal wife, and I am entitled to half of this entire property!
Officer Miller: Not if the property is secured under a protected irrevocable children's trust, ma'am.
The second officer stepped forward and motioned for Sarah to turn around near the sofa.
Officer Miller: We are going to escort you to the station to sort this out properly.
Sarah: You are making a huge mistake, and my lawyers will sue all of you!
Mark: Your lawyers can talk to Richard while you pack your personal clothes under supervision.
Sarah glared at Mark with intense anger as the female officer escorted her toward the guest room.
Mark turned back to Richard and shook his hand with immense relief and deep gratitude.
Mark: Thank you for coming over so quickly on such short notice, Richard.
Richard: I will file the emergency divorce and full custody protection papers first thing tomorrow morning.
Mark: Ensure she never comes within five hundred feet of my children ever again.
Richard: You have my personal word that her access to this family is completely cut off today.
Mark walked back up the wide carpeted stairs to check on Toby and little Lily upstairs.
He opened the playroom door and saw both kids sitting safely on the soft blue rug.
Mark: She is gone now, kids, and she is never coming back to our home again.
Lily ran across the room and wrapped her small arms tightly around Mark's knees.
Lily: Are we going to stay in our nice home with you forever, Daddy?
Mark: We are staying right here together, and nobody will ever scare you again.
