Mr. Morrison unlocked his smartphone without saying a single word.
Everyone in the room watched silently as he opened the home's security camera system.
He selected the hallway camera recorded only thirty minutes earlier.
The video began to play.
Emma appeared on the screen, placing her backpack beside the staircase before following Lily upstairs.
A few moments later...
Olivia entered the hallway alone.
She looked carefully in both directions to make sure nobody was watching.
Then she slowly knelt beside Emma's backpack.
She unzipped it.
Reached into her own jacket pocket.
Pulled out the missing gold watch.
And quietly slipped it inside before closing the zipper and walking away as though nothing had happened.
The recording ended.
The room fell completely silent.
Olivia's face turned white.
Her confident smile disappeared.
She opened her mouth to speak...
But no words came out.
Mr. Morrison slowly lowered his phone.
His voice echoed through the villa.
"You framed her!"
Emma burst into tears of relief.
The employees who had silently judged her now stared at Olivia in disbelief.
Olivia tried to explain.
"I can explain—"
"No."
Mr. Morrison interrupted sharply.
His eyes burned with anger.
"Pack your things and get out!"
The words echoed through the mansion.
Olivia realized there was no excuse strong enough to erase what everyone had just seen.
She quietly walked upstairs to collect her belongings.
Mr. Morrison turned toward Emma.
"I'm sorry."
Emma wiped away her tears.
She hadn't lost her dignity.
The truth had protected it.
That afternoon, everyone learned that the most dangerous thieves aren't always the people accused of stealing.
Sometimes...
They're the ones pointing the finger first.
