Ethan: Victoria, what the hell is going on here?
The heavy double doors burst open with a loud slam as Ethan rushed into the brightly lit entryway of his family's mansion. The bright daylight streamed across the polished marble floor, illuminating a scene that made his stomach drop. His stepmother stood in the center of the foyer, dressed in a sleek strapless white gown, holding a heavy iron chain in her right hand.
Victoria: You should have called before coming home early from the airport, Ethan. You know I dislike unexpected guests.
Ethan: Guest? This is my house! What are you holding in your hand?
On the cold floor beside her, a tiny six-year-old girl sat curled into a ball, weeping uncontrollably. It was Lily, Ethan's daughter. Her little grey dress was stained with tears, and her delicate ankle was locked tightly inside a thick metal handcuff connected to Victoria's long chain. A raw red scratch was already forming on the child's soft skin where the steel bit into her leg.
Lily: Daddy! Daddy, help me! It hurts so bad!
Ethan: Lily! Oh God, baby, don't move!
Victoria: Don't touch her, Ethan. Stay right where you are unless you want to make things much worse for your precious daughter.
Ethan froze in his tracks, his dark suit jacket fluttering as he stopped inches away from his stepmother. His eyes widened in absolute horror, tears welling up in his eyes as he looked down at his crying child. He looked up at Victoria, who stared back at him with a cold, unrepentant expression on her face. Her posture was completely rigid, showing no guilt or remorse for chaining a terrified six-year-old girl to the floor of their luxury home like an animal.
Ethan: Have you completely lost your mind? Unchain my daughter right now!
Victoria: I don't think so, Ethan. You see, your father left everything to me in his will, and I am finally taking full control of this estate.
Ethan: The estate trust belongs to Lily, you monster! You can't do this to her!
Victoria: Watch me. Sign the inheritance transfer documents on the console table, Ethan, or the girl stays in chains forever.
