Victoria: Look inside it, sweetie. Look at the photograph hidden inside your locket.
Daisy: This... this is a picture of a baby girl. She's wearing the exact same silver heart.
Victoria: That baby is you, my darling. That baby is my lost daughter, Clara.
Daisy: No... that can't be right. I don't have a mother. I've lived with Martha my entire life.
Victoria: Martha? Who is Martha? Where did she find you?
Daisy: She told me my real parents abandoned me on the steps of a train station in Chicago. She said nobody wanted me.
Victoria: She lied to you! You were stolen from my cradle when you were barely six months old!
Daisy: Stolen? But Martha always told me I owed her for taking me in... she makes me sell flowers on this corner every single day to pay for my rent.
Marcus: Mrs. Sterling, we need to get off the public street. The press is arriving for the foundation gala inside.
Victoria: I don't care about the gala, Marcus! I don't care about the estate or the foundation! My daughter is standing right in front of me!
Daisy: I don't understand... if you're my mother, why did I grow up in an attic while you drove in cars like this?
Victoria: Because a monster took you from me! I searched every state in this country for fifteen years. I hired private investigators, offered millions in rewards, and built an entire foundation in your name!
Daisy: A foundation? In my name?
Victoria: The Clara Sterling Trust Fund. Every dollar I made since the day you vanished was put into that account, waiting for the day I found you.
Marcus: Ma'am, look across the driveway. Is that Martha watching us from the corner?
Daisy turned her head quickly, her breath catching in her throat. Standing near the alleyway under a flickering street lamp was an older woman wrapped in a dark coat, her eyes cold and narrowed as she stared directly at Victoria's luxury car.
Daisy: That's her... that's Martha. She follows me to make sure I don't hide any money from the flower sales.
Victoria: Marcus, do not let that woman get away!
Marcus: Right away, Mrs. Sterling. Stay inside the vehicle.
Daisy: Wait! Don't hurt her! She's the only family I've ever known, even if she was cruel!
Victoria: She is not your family, Clara! She is the criminal who tore my life apart!
Victoria grabbed Daisy's hand, pulling her away from the flower basket and toward the open door of the leather-trimmed sedan. Daisy looked down at her muddy shoes, suddenly terrified of stepping into a world so drastically different from the cold attic she called home.
Daisy: What are you going to do to her? What is going to happen to me?
Victoria: You are coming home with me tonight, Clara. Your nightmare ends right now.
Daisy: My name is Daisy... I don't even know how to be a rich girl, ma'am.
Victoria: You don't have to be anything except my daughter. Come inside out of the cold.
