Mark walked into the main hall to open the door.
Elena was standing on the porch with two police officers.
She had a fake tearful expression painted on her face.
Elena: Officer, this man forced me out of my own home!
Officer: Good afternoon sir, we received a domestic call.
Mark stood calm and tall in the grand doorway.
Mark: Officers, please step inside so we can talk clearly.
The two officers walked into the high ceiling foyer.
Elena followed them inside with a smug smile on her face.
Elena: He raised his voice and threatened me in front of staff!
Mark: That is completely untrue and you know it, Elena.
Mark handed the altered legal documents directly to the lead officer.
Mark: My wife attempted to forge my life insurance and inheritance records.
The officer took the paper file and began reading carefully.
Elena's smile disappeared in an instant as her face went pale.
Elena: He is fabricating evidence to cover his own actions!
Officer: Ma'am, please remain calm while we review these documents.
Sarah stepped out into the hallway carrying a small digital tablet.
Sarah: We have security camera video from the upper hallway, officer.
Elena gasped loudly as she saw the small tablet screen.
Elena: You had no right to record me inside this house!
Mark: The home security system covers every common area, Elena.
The police officer pressed play on the small digital screen.
The video clearly showed Elena grabbing little Lily's arm violently.
It showed Sarah diving heroically to protect the small child.
Officer: Ma'am, this video tells a very clear story.
Elena took a quick step backward toward the main exit doors.
The second police officer moved quickly to block her path.
Officer: You are under arrest for child endangerment and document fraud.
Elena: You cannot arrest me, I am a Sterling now!
Mark: Not for much longer, my lawyer is filing divorce today.
The officer clicked silver handcuffs around Elena's thin wrists.
She began crying real tears of anger and panic now.
Elena: Mark, please give me another chance to explain!
Mark: You lost your chance the moment you touched my daughter.
The police officers led the kicking woman out the front door.
