Richard immediately called the family attorney on his cell phone speaker wire.
He ordered a full legal investigation into Evelyn's past background and financial history.
Within two short hours, private investigators sent crucial legal documents directly over email.
Evelyn had been married twice before in two different distant states under aliases.
Both previous husbands suffered sudden mysterious financial losses before filing for fast divorces.
She had depleted trust funds and fled before legal authorities could take action.
Richard felt sick to his stomach as the truth unfolded before his eyes.
He realized Evelyn had targeted his family business and mansion from the start.
The housekeeper returned to the mansion and immediately provided her own shocking statement.
She revealed that Evelyn had threatened to fire her if she spoke up.
Evelyn had been tampering with Lily's food and hiding her favorite childhood toys.
She wanted Lily sent away to an expensive distant boarding school in Europe.
That way, she could isolate Richard and gain complete control over his estate.
Richard held the printed financial reports in his trembling hands inside the library.
Evelyn sat on the hallway bench near two police officers who just arrived.
She still maintained a cold arrogant scowl on her sharp powdered face.
Evelyn: You have no concrete proof that I did anything illegal here.
Richard: The security cameras in the foyer record audio and high definition video.
Evelyn's face dropped instantly as her confidence completely shattered in a second.
She had forgotten about the newly installed security cameras near the entrance dome.
Richard: Every single threat you made to Lily was captured on tape.
Evelyn: You wouldn't dare hand those tapes over to the local police!
Richard: I am pressing every single charge available under the state law.
The police officers stepped forward and instructed Evelyn to stand up immediately.
